Are you thinking about redecorating? Now’s the time to upgrade your walls.

June 25th, 2014

Soundproof your walls.

Soundproofing your walls will not only reduce neighbourly noise and traffic noise, it will also help reduce heat loss.

Noise is an ever increasing part of everyday life. But excessive noise is a nuisance. It can be stressful and it can be detrimental to your health. Noise problems can cause anxiety, high blood pressure and sleep disturbance.

Installing soundproofing will significantly reduce and block unwanted noise from travelling through your walls into your home. North East Soundproofing & Insulation have proven soundproofing solutions that will help restore peace to your home.

Insulate your walls.

If you live in a property that was built before 1920, you’ll probably find that the external walls are solid, with little or no cavity. These types of walls let heat escape. Lets face it – energy prices are increasing, and the cost of heating your home is only going to rise!

Solid walls can be insulated… We are Approved Installers for Internal Wall Insulation. The cost of insulating solid walls costs more than insulating standard cavity walls, but what you will save on your heating bills will be considerably higher too.

You may live in a property built in the 60’s or 70’s that have cladding or tiles fixed to the external walls. These properties will also benefit from Internal Wall Insulation, as these walls can not be insulated properly with cavity wall insulation…. Internal Wall Insulation will save you money, make your home warmer and more comfortable.

Following a recent installation to a home in County Durham, our customer had this to say:

“After suffering for many months with noisy neighbours we took the decision to invest in soundproofing. I’m pleased to say this was the right decision to take, previously we could hear our neighbours talking late at night, dogs barking & could hear what they were watching on their TV. We can still here very faint noise however it is much improved & I’m now able to go to bed without hearing my neighbours. Compliments to the guys that come to complete the work, they are very professional & friendly. Hopefully I will not need soundproofing again however if I do I would most definitely use North East Soundproofing again.”

A client recently got in contact with us regarding their offices based in Prudhoe, Northumberland. They were due to relocate from their offices based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. The particular rooms in question were due to house noisy machinery, with employees working directly outside.

After carrying out a survey, we advised our client on the work required and cost involved. The client approved the work to be done and work commenced as scheduled.

Our Clients Testimonial:

“The company were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and carried out the job very efficiently. All used items/rubbish were disposed of by them at the end of the job and all areas tidied to a high standard. Once the job was complete and the area tested it was proven to have significantly reduced the amount of noise being transferred to other offices. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this company to others.”

Soundproofing Advice

September 11th, 2013

I am often contacted by people who have no experience in soundproofing, other than what they have ‘looked up’ on the internet, and to my astonishment, they often have some interesting stories about soundproofing advice they have received from family and friends. Let me tell you now – Sticking egg boxes to your walls will not soundproof your walls. They will however constitute a fire hazard!

Flo-chip polystyrene, bubble wrap and rolled-up newspapers (you may be surprised) also do not work either!

Noise is unwanted sound and sound waves are vibrations in the air that can pass through solids, liquids and gasses. Soundproofing is all about creating ‘Barriers’ so that the vibrations drastically lose energy and therefore aren’t transmitted. We create those barriers by increasing mass and by separation.

We have proven soundproofing solutions that will significantly reduce and block unwanted noise from traveling from your neighbours home into yours. Contact us now for your free quotation.

‘Soundproofing is not just a skill, it’s a science.’

Neighbourhood Noise

March 30th, 2012

Results of recent national surveys of typical exposure to noise show that over 50% of the population are exposed to day-time noise levels that exceed the World Health Organisation (WHO) ratings for significant community annoyance. Other surveys report that around 50% of people find their home in some way unsatisfactory because of noise intrusion. These results include people living in new homes built to modern building codes which require certain standards of noise control.
