The team installed an independent wall in our bedroom to cut noise from neighbours slamming doors. Ricky advised we could expect an 80% reduction in noise and that's exactly what we got so now we can sleep in our bedroom again without being disturbed. The installation team were thorough, quick and did an excellent job of cleaning afterwards. A very professional team and we're very happy with the results. Looking forward to having our living room back soon too.

I have had acoustic underlay and acoustic mineral fibre infill installed on the upstairs of our home to reduce the noise which was driving me nuts! Ricky and Daniel (and Mark the joiner who was asked to refit our oak doors)came on time and the work took the time estimated. . I was dreading the actual work being done because of the upheaval - moving furniture and taking up carpets. I need not have worried. The disturbance was minimal as Ricky and Daniel moved everything themselves, put everything back exactly as they had found it and then hoovered and cleaned up, leaving no trace of mess. I live in a semi and recently a young family moved in next door who were very lively. I felt as if there were no walls between me and them. So I immediately got on to North East Soundproofing to come out and give me a quote. They were there on time, cautioned me that they couldn't do much about the kids thumping around like little elephants or their squealing but 'ordinary' noises like TV and talking would be much improved. I took the quote and they started work the following week, completing it quickly and with minimal disruption. They made a real point of cleaning up after themselves, which was a nice change. I would like to say I have blissful quiet now, but that would be a lie. But I was warned of the limits, so I can't complain. Ian and his team installed acoustics panels to the pitch roof of our open plan office in Gateshead and the results have been very good. The office was quite echoing before the panels were installed. After installation was complete, the office is much more confortable, with no echoing sound anymore. I had months of TV noise, doors slamming, very loud conversations, that I could sit and listen too etc etc. Following various discussions with my neighbours with little or no reduction in noise levels, I felt I was left with very few legal options. As moving is out of the equation, a sound reduction system was my only feasible option. I found Ian's business via a web search and I'm very pleased that I did. I can state that the results achieved in other reviews are true, my noise issues from next door have reduced significantly, after having acoustic walls added to my bedroom and living room. I can now listen to my TV (not watch mine and listen to theirs) and more importantly have a decent sleep without being constantly disturbed by next door. There is still some muffled vocal noise into my bedroom and as suggested by Ian, an acoustic underlay may be required to further help - time will tell if I add this additional system. Would I recommend the acoustic wall solution and North East Soundproofing – if you want your life back - YES is the only answer as both are excellent.

Ian explained in detail about the different grades of sound proofing and how the work would be completed regarding electrical work, soundproofing the walls, and then finishing off the work with plastering. I opted for the acoustic insulation, Ian said that I should achieve 85% of noise reduction but I must admit it’s a lot more than that. Ian and his work team did a exceptional job from start to finish and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking into soundproofing their home. I approached Ian in August of this year regarding soundproofing for my daughters terraced house. She was having problems with her neighbours who played loud music, slammed doors late into the night and were just generally noisy people. He was extremely professional and came out promptly to oversee the property Ian was quite honest and told us what he could do He said that there could still be some noise but it would certainly be diminished He recommended a particular kind of sound proofing and we gave him the go ahead. I need sound reduction in 2 walls due to noisy neighbours. Ian arrived on time and was very friendly, and helped explain the type of insulation he could do given the lack of space and the benefits of that, he explained it will reduce voices but not slamming of doors (I was emailed the quote later that day). The day before the job started I got an email to say they will arrive later, (I was told it was due to being on another job). I only saw the email in the morning. I ended up having to leave the house before they arrived (as I had to go to work) and I left a key and the door on the latch, Ian send me a message to say they had arrived which reassured me as I had left the house insecure. By the end on day one the panels were on one and the furniture was put back so I could sleep in the bedroom. The following day the walls were plastered and electrical sockets put in place. It has been a month since I had the work done and on one side there is absolutely no noise (vocally) on the other side I can occasionally hear muffling of voices and can hear doors slamming. The work people did hoover and leave everything where they found it. The only criticism I have is that the plasters got some of the plaster on the other walls, but that was easily fixed with a little paint. Overall a great family run business with a professional knowledgeable proprietor.

I needed soundproofing to a party wall., in a property which dates back to 1897. Initially Ian called round and viewed the property and the problem, Ian's advise was thorough and honest, with realistic expectations of what would be achieved. He followed up with his quote as promised, and as soon as I had removed the sinks, radiator, shower cubicle, shower tray, wall boards and toilet, Ian was straight on with the job. I left a key with Ian, who let himself into the property - he works clean and tidy and leaves the place as he found it - which is excellent. I had to have plaster coving removed and replaced with new (I sourced and arranged delivery and Ian took delivery while I was out) this was refitted by Ian's plasterer and he made an excellent job of it. The plasterer also left the place in a clean and tidy condition, which is not always easy when working with large plaster coving. It has been a pleasure to deal with Ian and his men, they have made a sterling job of everything they said they would do. All I have to do now is let the plaster dry and fit the bathroom back in!
